Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Slides Summarizer at slidenotes.cc ("the Service", "we"). By using the Service you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. The Service

Slides Summarizer turns presentations into structured notes with the help of AI. It accepts PowerPoint (.pptx, .ppt), PDF and plain text files, and links to Google Slides presentations. You choose the format and length of the notes and one of 17 languages; you can copy the notes or download them as Markdown or text.

2. Accounts

You need an account to get summaries: you sign in with your email address or with Google. A file you upload before signing in is linked to your account when you sign in. Keep your email secure — anyone who can open your sign-in links can use your account. Please use one account per person.

3. Plans and limits

The current plans and their limits are listed on the Pricing page:

• Free: 5 summaries a day, files up to 50 MB, a 7-day summary history;
• Pro: 50 summaries a day, files up to 100 MB, a 90-day summary history.

We may change the plans and limits. A change to your paid plan takes effect from your next billing period, and we tell you about it in advance.

4. Subscription and payment

• Pro is a subscription paid in advance, monthly ($9) or yearly ($90). Prices are in US dollars; taxes are added at checkout, depending on your country.
• The subscription is sold by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which processes the payment, charges taxes and issues receipts. The Lemon Squeezy buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
• You can cancel at any time: Pro stays active until the end of the paid period, and you are not charged again.
• If we change the price, we tell you before your next renewal. The new price applies only from that renewal, and you can cancel before it.
• If a payment fails, Pro may be paused until the payment goes through.

5. Discounts and promotions

We may sometimes offer a discount, for example on the first month of Pro. A discount applies only as described in the offer; after that, the regular price applies.

6. Refunds

A new subscription comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. The details are in the Refund Policy.

7. Your content

Your files and the notes made from them are yours; we claim no ownership. You allow us to process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to upload the files you upload.

8. AI-generated notes

Notes are written automatically by an AI model and may contain mistakes, omissions or inaccuracies. Check important information against the original presentation. The notes are not professional (legal, medical, financial or other) advice.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload files with malware, illegal content or content that infringes the rights of others;
• bypass the limits, for example with multiple accounts or automated scripts;
• access the Service with bots or resell it without our written permission;
• interfere with the Service or its security.

10. Intellectual property

The Slides Summarizer name, logo, website and code belong to us. These terms do not give you any right to use them beyond using the Service.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may change, add or remove features.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close access to the Service if these terms are broken. You can stop using the Service at any time; to delete your account, write to [email protected].

14. Your rights as a consumer

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; we announce material changes on the site. If you keep using the Service after a change, the new terms apply; you can cancel Pro if you do not accept them.
